When you participate in the POP MY ART – Find the Next Artist campaign, we are committed to handling your personal information and submitted artwork in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation, the UK Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA), as well as other applicable data protection laws in the countries where the campaign is accessible.

1. What information we collect?

As part of your submission, we may collect basic personal details, such as your full name, contact information, country/region, and your professional showcase information, such as links to your portfolio, website, or social media accounts. We will also receive the artwork or creative materials you choose to share, which may include sketches, illustrations, or prototypes. In addition, you may choose to provide optional background information, such as a CV, biography, or creative statement.

If you choose to submit your work via Behance, please note that your use of the platform is governed by Behance's own terms and privacy policies.

2.How do we use your information?

The information will only be used for the purpose of evaluating your submission, assessing potential suitability for collaboration, and communicating with you about the campaign and related opportunities, which is necessary for your participation in the 'POP MY ART – Find the Next Artist'. You may opt in to be included in our Artist Talent Pool to support future outreach and collaboration in Europe or receive marketing communications, this is entirely optional and will not affect your participation in this campaign. We will process your data only based on your explicit consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

3. Who has access to your information

Your personal details and creative materials will only be reviewed by POP MART's internal teams. We will not disclose your information to a third party without your prior permission, unless compelled by law or necessary to comply with legitimate legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Data storage and retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this campaign. Submissions that are not shortlisted will be securely deleted within 3 months of the campaign's conclusion. For shortlisted or engaged artists, data will be stored securely in line with our standard contractual and documentation practices. If you choose to join the Artist Talent Pool, we will retain your profile for up to 24 months unless you withdraw your consent earlier. You may also contact us at any time to request the deletion of your data.

5. Your rights under GDPR

You have the following rights: the right of access, the right to rectification, the right to be forgotten, the right to restriction of processing, the right to data portability, the right to object, the right to withdraw consent, and the right to report a complaint. You may exercise other rights under applicable data protection laws at any time.

6. Data controller contact

POP MART UK LIMITED and its global affiliates are the data controller for the relevant activities. We have appointed a DPO to oversee our compliance with the local laws and regulations.
